Receive from the original peoples of Guatemala, the Association of Teachers of Rural Education of Guatemala (AMERG ), Maya Vision Guatemala, our highest token of gratitude, greetings and respect.
Dear Brother Tupac, permit us the honor to refer to you to follow up with the agreement of the encounter DISMANTLING the Doctrine of Discovery realized in Phoenix, Arizona where Maya Vision Guatemala, Maya Vision of Los Angeles, and Techantit Cultural Center of the sister Republic of El Salvador, along with TONATIERRA agreed to mutually support ourselves in the defense of the Natural Resources and Human Rights of the peoples that are being criminalized by the states and the transnational companies; in our last conference via telephone it was sustained and agreed, to streamline and make said accords viable, in formalizing our request before the Nahuacalli, Embassy of Indigenous Peoples and have a team of accompaniment in capacity of International Observers of Indigenous Human Rights to Guatemala.
The organizations of Original Peoples, especially AMERG and Maya Vision Guatemala, undertake and offer the logistics for the stay of the delegation in Guatemala, that consists of lodging, food and transportation to visit the places affected by the issues of Mining, Dams, Pipelines and Monocultures, in order to have the knowledge and direct contact with the population that lives and suffers from the consequences of the criminalization done in part by the transnational companies and the government of Guatemala.
We hope that in the next meeting that will be held by the different organizations of the North American Indigenous Peoples Caucus, that they may consider the importance that we as original peoples of Guatemala foresee in being able to join together in our collective protest, our unswerving and unending struggle on behalf of the Indigenous Peoples of Guatemala.
After forming the members of the legation of Indigenous observers, we can define the dates of the visit to Guatemala.
We continue hoping in your good efforts to intervene before the other organizations of the North American Indigenous Peoples Caucus, regarding our proposed petition.

Estimado Hermano Tupac, nos permitimos el honor de
referirnos a usted, para darle seguimiento a los acuerdos del encuentro
DESMANTELANDO La Doctrina de Descubrimiento realizado en Phoenix, Arizona donde
Maya Vision Guatemala, Maya Vision de Los Angeles y el Centro Cultural
Techantit de la hermana Republica del Salvador, y TONATIERRA se acordo
apoyarnos mutuamente en la defensa de los Recursos Naturales y los Derechos
Humanos de los pueblos que estan siendo criminalizados per los estados y las
empresas transnacionales; asi como lo sostenido en las ultimas conferencia via telefónica,
de agilizar y viabilizar dichos acuerdos en oficializar nuestra solicitud ante
la Nahuacalli, Embajada de Pueblos lndígenas, un equipo de acompanamiento en
materia de OBSERVATORIO INTERNACIONAL INDÍGENA DE DERECHOS HUMANOS PARA
GUATEMALA.
Las Organizaciones de los Pueblos Originarios, especialmente
AMERG y Maya Vision Guatemala, se comprometen en ofrecer la logistica de la
estadia de la delegación en Guatemala, que consiste en Hospedaje, Alimentacion
y transporte para visitar los lugares afectas por temas de la Mineria,
Represas, Oleoductos y monocultivos, para poder tener el conocimiento y
contacto directo con la población que vive y sufre las consecuencias de la
criminalizacion por parte de las empresas transnacionales y el Gobierno de Guatemala.
Esperamos que en la proxima reunion que sostendran las
diferentes organizaciones del Caucus Indígena Norte, puedan considerar el nivel
de importancia que es para los pueblos originarios de Guatemala el poder
sumarse a nuestras luchas reivindicativas e inclaudicables para el pueblo de
Guatemala.
Despues de conformado los miembros del observatorio, podamos
definir fechas de la visita a Guatemala.
Nos quedamos en espera de sus buenos oficios para
intermediar ante las demas organizaciones Caucus Indígena Norte, nuestra
petición planteada.
